Teagan LOVES the marching band!!

Teagan & Geri went to the Homecoming game with Mike, Kelly, & baby Matthew. I stayed home with Maggie as we thought it might be too loud for her lil baby ears.

It was sunny & HOT so I'm glad I wasn't stuck in the midst of 100,000 people in the direct sun with a fussy infant!

At some houses the kids walked up and picked what they wanted....Teagan's 1st choice was an apple, which she began to eat immediately. After that, if she was given a choice, she only picked lollipops!

Teagan picking out a pumpkin that is "just her size". She is into things that are "just her size". i.e. travel size toiletries, etc. Too funny.

Geri was hilarious on this race cart tractor thingie. He was racing the ten year olds and he was taking the corners so fast that I seriously thought he was going to tip over with Teagan!!!

Last year, Teagan was petrified of the hay ride out to the field to pick the pumpkins, but this year she absolutely loved it!! And she had to ride on the GREEN tractor! She was very specific. We had a lot of fun--she played in the sand pit, jumped in the bounce house, slid on the slides, picked pumpkins, raced tractors, & did a hayride!

Teagan loves to help out in the kitchen! Her favorite thing to make is brownies. Really she just likes to fill up the measuring cups & measuring spoons and then eat the batter!

Teagan started pre-school 2 mornings a week a couple of weeks ago and has really been enjoying herself. She is learning a lot and loves her teachers. It is a big adjustment for her as she has never been out on her own before, but she seems to be doing pretty well!

Yesterday was Geri's birthday! Teagan picked out his card (purple Disney princesses) and also selected his cupcakes from Magpie's.

She was also very keen to help Daddy open his presents--she is a pro by now!

2 year check-up & stats!

Teagan had her 2 year doctor's appointment on Monday and she did great. Everything looks good and the doctor said she has very clear speech for her age--he said a stranger should be able to comprehend about 50% of what she is saying, and he could understand about 90%.

Here are her stats:

Weight: 28#14.5 oz. = 75-90%

Height: 35.5 inches = 70-90%

Head Circumference: 48.2 cm. = 70%

Oh and p.s. Her frog boots were her birthday gift from Tom and her PJ's in the above pic are size 4T!!! She is getting so big! A newborn is going to seem so tiny next to her. We have had 2 friends have baby girls in the last few weeks & T has been so sweet going to visit them & is very interested in the babies!

Up until recently if you asked Teagan if there was a baby in Mommy's belly, she would say "Nooooo!" But now she'll say "Uh-huh". It is pretty funny.

Well this is one of Teagan's favorite books these days--she is really cute & reads it all the time. When you read the part that says "Someone new is at our house, do you know who it is?" She says, "OUR BABY!!" at the top of her lungs. So cute.

This is an old one but have been meaning to post it for awhile. Teagan ran the 1 mile fun run the night before the marathon. And when I say "ran" I mean rode on Daddy's shoulders for most of the race! But it was really neat b/c it finished in the football stadium which was fun.

And she especially enjoyed the post-race refreshments--chocolate milk!! YUM!

18 month check-up

Well it is hard to believe but Teagan went for her 18 month check up in February!! Time is flying for sure. She has grown a ton too. She put on 2 lbs. & grew 2 inches since her 15 month check-up in November! Most of her jeans & pants are high waters. :) She is all done with her immunizations now until age 4 (she got a shot and didn't like it at all so I am sure she is happy with this news)!

Here are her stats:

Height: 33 1/4 inches = 90%

Head: 47.4 cm. = 75%

Teagan LOVES to drive her motorcycle all over the house. She has gotten quite good at maneuvering and popping wheelies. She just puts on her shades and goes!

I had been telling Teagan all week that she was going to get dressed up and wear her "party" shoes at the weekend. She nodded but I didn't really think she was listening to me. Well then one evening before bed, she was just wild & running all over the house and I said, "you're not ready for bed--you're ready to party!!" She stopped in her tracks and looked at me, and then ran in her room. I knew exactly what she was thinking. Well lo and behold, she came running out with her "party" shoes and wanted us to put them on her, so we did!

I have just not had time & I am just now posting a few pics from our South Africa trip. We took so many that it is impossible to post them all, so I just chose a few. Enjoy!

Cricket is supposedly like baseball, although I really have no clue what the heck was going on. I just went to eat the hotdogs and drink the beer! The match took 5 days, and they played from 10am til 6pm every day, and it ended in a TIE!!! what is up with that!? We went on the last day for a few hours in the afternoon, and it was really fun. The stands were packed & the fans were very into it.

At half-time (aka the lunch break) everyone is allowed down on the field to run around. Teagan used this opportunity to do some dancing--NICE!

This was a beautiful beach we visited on one of our last days in Cape Town. There was actually a great white shark attack at a nearby beach that same afternoon! A tourist was snorkeling in waist deep water and was eaten up. Scary!

It was super windy but we were having a good time exploring the beach.

We went downtown last weekend to see the lights & have dinner at Cafe 4. We were trying to make ourselves feel better since our flight was canceled that afternoon.

15 Month Check-up

Teagan loves to swim! We went swimming a couple of times at Grammy & Grampa's pool when they were visiting and she had a great time.

Teagan went for her 15 month check up recently. She is doing really well and has grown a lot (over 2 inches & 3 lbs!) since her 1 year visit in August.

We went to the Vols last home game vs. Vandy on Saturday--it was Teagan's 1st football game and she loved it!!! All day she was saying "football, football". So cute!

She had so much fun--we did the wave and Teagan watched every time it came around and then threw her hands up! We had popcorn and a Smokey cheddar dog--yum!

Before the game we went to the new Letterman's room, which is right on the field in the North end zone corner. It was pretty cool. We had a great time at the game and got to see some friends we had not seen in awhile so that was fun too.

Teagan stayed up later than she has since probably New Year's Eve, but it was worth it to spend the evening with 100,000+ other UT fans at Neyland Stadium--GO VOLS!!

We went trick or treating with the Boulos's and had a great time! Teagan was not sure what was going on at first, but she loved chasing after the bigger kids. And she soon figured out to get her candy and put it in her lil punkin bag--so cute! She was even picking up candy off the ground and putting it in her bag--hilarious!

Hiya, well we went to the punkin patch last weekend. It was beautiful weather & we enjoyed picking our pumpkins!
Teagan liked running around but was not a fan of the hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

"Hey Mama! There's that big old LOUD tractor again!! I am DONE with they hayride, just so you know!"

We went to Greenville a couple of weekends ago for some racing and to celebrate my b-day a little early. It was fun--Teagan played at the playground, skinned her knees, swam in the hotel pool, and had a great time overall. Normally we go for the Fall for Greenville weekend, and that was actually Teagan's first roadtrip last year! But this year we went a week early b/c the race was cancelled--we have been going to those races since 1997 so that was kinda sad. But our trip to Whole Foods made up for everything!! We were blown away by their beer selection. I was compelled to photograph it and we will definitely make that a regular stop every time we go to G'ville from now on!

Geri is on the phone with Tom here--he is so excited he can hardly stand it.

Teagan is over it--she just wants to get to the Gelato counter! She's tired of shopping for beer!

Geri's Birthday!

We went to Atlanta last weekend--it was Geri's b-day and there was a crit down there so we thought it would be a good reason to go have some fun! Teagan enjoyed riding the elevator at the hotel--we were on the 15th floor. Here she is getting low.

And here's Geri & Teagan posing in front of the frogs at dinner. Teagan had guacamole and rice! yummmy!

She absolutely loved the pool! We threw her back and forth, she put her face in and blew bubbles, she paddled. It was great fun til she turned purple and we had to get out b/c she was freezing!

We went to the Atlanta Zoo in the afternoon. Geri & I hadn't been there since we went when Christopher was little, so probably 9 or 10 years. Teagan really loved looking at all the animals.

Then we went to Geri's race at Grant Park, which is right next to the zoo, and our friend from college Janelle met us to watch him race. We had a lot of fun hanging out with her during the crit and I'm glad she came to meet Teagan!!

Geri got 9th in the crit which was a pretty good result considering it was a good sized Pro, 1, 2 field. We had a really fun weekend!

Teagan went for her 1 year check-up the week after her b-day. She loves to push her dollies in her baby stroller (all of them, at once). Really she likes to push just about anything she can fit in the stroller--sippy cups, bath toys, TV remotes, you name it!

Ok, well now that I am walking all over the place, I had to get some new shoes to wear around. I went to Stride Rite and got sized properly so I am all set!! I love my shoes and can walk very well in them.

My New Bike!

Ever since I got my bike, all I want to do is ride it! It is so sweet. It was supposed to be for my 1st birthday, but my Mom & Dad gave it to me early!!

Well I rode my bike to the Farmers Market downtown this past weekend. I bought some cool books at the book fair and then hauled 'em home!

Here I am in Black Mountain, NC at my Daddy's bike race. I rode around this lake several times! What a great workout and beautiful scenery! As you can see I am multi-talented--I can hold my Troll or my dolly and ride one-handed!

My helmet is pretty cool too--I picked it out at Toys R Us.

Teagan sitting on her Bumbo and Skyping with Cool Aunt Katie--look how happy she is to talk to her auntie!! She started WALKING on Monday!! So cute--at first it was just a few drunken steps, but now it is full on Frankenstein walking! She can get pretty far before she plops down on her booty.

She will not even put this troll doll down to eat. She carries it around constantly!!

Here's Teagan in her adorable new towel from the Honeydale bunch! She loves it--it is so soft! And plus it's a TOAD with her NAME on it--it does not get better than that!

Here she is walking in her room, well she was walking and then got down into this pose which Ang has dubbed "the general". Again with the troll. This was a doll Sharon got me a long time ago and Teagan saw it on a shelf and wanted it the other day. She has rarely set it down since then. She even slept with it the first night she had it. She likes to hold the hair up to mine or Geri's nose to tickle us with it!

Teagan was so cute on the beach. She wanted to just crawl straight into the ocean so you had to really keep an eye on her!! Bryan kept telling this story about how Geri washed away in a wave when he was her age, but that he crawled right back up the beach after a few panicky moments!! That was not reassuring me!

Here's me and Teagan in St. Georges. We were searching for Jaime and her family but to no avail-we never found them. We tried though!

Here we are in Flatts at Rustico. Geri and I went there for our 6th wedding anniversary a couple of years ago. Very good food and nice patio.

We had fun spending time with Pops, Gran & Uncle Christopher! We went out and about in the mornings while Geri and Brad were at the cycling camp. This day we went to Dockyard and Christopher got a skim board. Too bad the weight limit was 75 lbs. cuz Geri and I wanted to try it!

As you can see from the pics, Teagan absolutely loved the beach. We already knew she loved the water, she obviously takes after her Daddy in that regard. However, she did not mind getting up close and personal with the sand--she was covered in the stuff!! She most definitely does NOT take after her Daddy in that regard. ;)

Teagan turned 11 months the day we left Bermuda! Time flies!

Teagan loves to read and we read the same books to her over and over. She is content to sit and read to herself as well.

Geri & Teagan in Pigeon Forge the other day--we did some shopping but it was HOT up there--100 degrees! Teagan got a new bathing suit and some clothes.

We ate at what used to be Connors and is now KT's! Of course we had to eat there, given the name!

9 month check-up!

Teagan turned 9 months last week and went for her check-up the other day. She is doing great!

Here are her stats:

Weight: 17 lbs. 6 oz. = 25%

Height: 27.5 inches = 50%

Head Cir: 44.5 cm = 60%

She is crawling very fast, pulling up on everything, starting to let go and stand for a couple seconds, loves the water/her bath (and her duckies), will crawl into the bathroom & pull up and walk along the side of the tub to get her bath toys, eats just about everything & has started to feed herself small bits of food, drinks H2O from a sippy cup, loves pop-up books or books that make noise/have texture, she's very social & likes to meet new people, has 2 bottom teeth, loves to be outside, loves Callie (not always reciprocated), she's a ham for the camera which is a good thing b/c I am always taking her picture, and is just a fun & happy baby every day!

We are very lucky and she is so sweet!

Check out my 2 bottom teeth! I can officially chew on stuff instead of just gumming it! I have had teeth for about a week & a half now, and they come in a bit more each day.

We had a great Mother's Day! Aside from the fact that Teagan has decided she no longer needs an a.m. nap the last 3 days, things have been great! She just rages around the house getting into everything--it is quite fun. Geri raced in Maryville yesterday and got 9th in the crit--I have pics of that if I ever get time to blog them.

We went to see Steve, Laura, & baby Luke last week. Teagan was super interested in him & wanted to grab him! He was super chill and just napped the whole visit pretty much!
